Many thanks Brian for delivering such a professional and informative ‘Photography Taster’ session yesterday. I know our residents thoroughly enjoyed it as reflected in the feedback. It was very inspirational!
Thank you Brian we all enjoyed your talk, ‘The Camera – Companion of My Travels’ very much. You have taken some wonderful photos around the world and collected some amusing anecdotes.
Thanks Brian for my 121 session at Chester Zoo. You helped me get the best from of my camera and to see the potential good shot in front of me. To be fair though, I did make you jealous of one of my Jaguar shots. A great afternoon.

On behalf of the Grosvenor Club and its members, I would like to thank you very much indeed for last night’s thoroughly enjoyable lecture on Shackleton and his 1914-17 Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition.
You gave a spirited talk with wonderful photographs, and with amusing comments from schoolchildren you have encountered on your schoolvisits. We, the audience, were in equal measures horrified and uplifted by the endurance of these men and their singlemindedness in pursuing their goal. They were tough; physically and mentally. I was particularly thrilled to hear what a nice man Shackleton was – very much their CO and as such, looking after his men’s welfare.
Thank you also for taking time talking and answering questions from the floor – all club members enjoy this very much. Perhaps I may some time in the future, call on you again for another exciting talk.
Many thanks for your Okells Photography Workshop which we found very informative and enjoyable. Richard and I have booked to come on your 16th April workshop with Bev and Ian. I attach my photo of a robin I took in our garden after I grasped Depth of Field!
Thoroughly enjoyed your second talk for us at the Royal Geographical Society NW Region. Your ‘Images From The Edge’ talk was very much appreciated by all. Your wildlife and landscape shots were superb and the commentary and anecdotes excellent.
‘Improving Your Photography’ was a very enjoyable course Brian. It has certainly improved my understanding of the basics, camera settings, exposure triangle, DoF, etc. I feel more confident in my approach to the hobby. Many thanks.
Thanks Brian for your well organised and informative ‘Improving Your Photography’ course. It has enabled me to get off the ‘auto’ setting and gain confidence using my camera and getting better shots.
Your ‘Improving Your Photography’ Course was very informative without being too technical. Have wanted to understand Depth of Field for years and NOW I DO!! Prior to your course I had all the gear and no idea. Thanks for your help, guidance and inspiration.
