I was the Guest speaker at Birkenhead School today, presenting one of their weekly Friday Sixth Form Lectures. It was my 4th visit to this fine school. Today’s 60 or so student’s were very enthusiastic – well they laughed at all the right bits. After my 40 minute presentation I had a splendid lunch with the school’s new headmaster, Paul Vicars, and five sixth formers.
They were a lovely group of young people, a prospective veterinary surgeon, biologist, engineer, oceanographer and photographer/film maker, certainly good company, making for lively and interesting conversation over lunch.
I am now looking forward to presenting to the school’s Prep and Senior school pupils after the Headmaster’s invitation to return next term.
