Have returned to Wirral Grammar School for Boys for a 3rd year to present a week of illustrated talks to the Lower 6th Form pupils. It’s a week I look forward to and which the boys seem to enjoy. We have a series of 7 talks this year with diverse subjects from the ‘Incas‘; ‘Whaling in South Georgia’; ‘Liverpool’s Historic Sculpture’; ‘Food, A Global Issue’, to ‘Global Warming and its Effects on the Polar Regions’.
It seems no time at all since my two boys were at this excellent school, although they finished 4 years and 8 years ago respectively! It’s nice though when their teachers still ask how they are doing. Plus, I also get a school lunch!!!
