This quote by Shakespeare says it all. Summer does not last long enough, and now British Summer Time ends tonight and our evenings will get longer and mornings will be darker. We’ve had a good year and a bit of an ‘Indian Summer’ with some beautiful sunshine in September.
I travelled to a few new places in the UK this summer and the most memorable was Wiltshire with its gently rolling farmland, ancient market towns and amazing neolithic sites. This image best sums up the county, I took the shot in Avebury with its impressive standing stones, vernacular architecture and photogenic sheep.
Here’s to next summer when I will be returning again to Wiltshire and the Marlborough College Summer School.
Don’t forget to put your clocks back an hour at midnight!!
