So 2020 has seen the hottest and driest April in the UK since records began in the 1920s.
Ironic then, that the weather should be so wonderful during the Covid-19 lockdown. For those who were lucky enough to be self-isolating in rural areas, the fields of rapeseed flowers were a joy to behold across the country.
